| About | Peter has been producing in the West End and on tour throughout the United Kingdom since 1983, when his first production – Edmund Kean, starring Ben Kingsley – played six weeks at the Haymarket Theatre and subsequently on Broadway. In the same year he co–directed Griff Rhys Jones in Charley's Aunt at the Aldwych Theatre and assisted Michael Blakemore on Noises Off at the Savoy. In 1989, after several years of presenting small-scale productions on tour, at the Edinburgh Festival and in the West End he produced The Woman in Black, still running at the Fortune Theatre. The Woman in Black has now been presented in over twenty countries, and has toured extensively throughout the UK. In 1992 he produced Stephen Daldry's National Theatre production of An Inspector Calls, which went on to Broadway and won nineteen major awards, including both the Tony and Olivier awards for Best Production. An Inspector Calls has toured the UK, USA, Japan, the Far East and Australia. | |
