At the present time as long as your showreel is in an internet compatable format and of suitably professional quality you should be able to upload it directly to the Casting Call Pro website.

Internet Compatable Formats
VHS and DVD showreels are stored in a very different format to internet (or streamed) showreels. In order to display your showreel to users via the internet you must first ensure your showreel is in an internet compatable format. There are a number of different internet (or streamed) formats, the most common of which are :

avi
mov - quicktime movie
mpg
wmv - windows media video

If your showreel is not already in one of these formats, you will need to get it converted. There are a number of companies out there who can help you convert a VHS/DVD showreel into a streamed format. If you have an option of formats we suggest you stick with WMV (Windows Media Video) format as this appears to cause our casting directors least grief.

Length
Ideally your showreel should run between 2 to 6 minutes, opinions in the field vary but anything above 6 minutes tends to be ignored by casting directors and as such we only accept showreels less than 6 minutes in length.

Size
The size of your streamed showreel will depend on it's resolution, length and format. A good 2-3 minute showreel should take up around 6MB and as we limit your maximum file upload size to 20MB you should ensure any streamed showreel you create is less than this size.

Ideal Format
The ideal video format for the site it 304pixels wide by 224pixels high, we automatically convert all uploaded videos into a standard format so if your showreel appears blocky please convert it to the dimensions above before uploading.
