Hey Guys,

I know the issue of workshops has caused some debate on here before BUT just wanted to to take the chance to recommend the workshops run by Annelie Powell (no relation) she's the casting Assistant on Holby and quite often does BBC based workshops and at £25 for 2-3 hrs I think they're pretty reasonable...

With that in mind, Andy Brierley is doing one this coming Sat (13th Feb)...Sure you all know but Andy is Casting Associate on Doctor Who & Torchwood and CD on the Sarah Jane adventures, he's done lots of other things too...

Anyways just thought I'd let you all you so you are aware that these good (in my opinion) and affordable workshops are taking place...

www.powellcasting.com for more info

(Again, this is nothing to do with me so email Annelie directly if you have a any questions or whatever...

Ollie x

I did the workshop with Andy Brierley a couple of months ago and found it really valuable. He was so focussed on each individual and gave detailed feedback on each mock casting. He was very friendly, honest and approachable.

I think Andy is now freelance, and not attached to Andy Pryor any more.

Thanks Ollie- I've seen you at a workshop before- can you recommend any other workshops other than this one, and The Actors Society?

Thanks!

Hiya Tanya,

I've done quite a few but have to say I think these and actors society ones are the best value for money. Quite a few charge ridiculous prices up to and over £100. I think anything over £35/40 is just excessive & a bit greedy if I'm honest.

p.s. You're right Annie he is now freelance but he is still Casting Sarah Jane and I believe is still involved in post-Tennant Who. He's also working on a new 13 part series for Touchpaper & Channel 4.
