| About | The music hall can be found in London's east end, in the shadows of the Tower of London, on Grace's Alley off Cable Street. From the outside, Wilton's appears to have been forgotten as the paint on the front doors is peeling and there is nothing to suggest that anything is taking place behind them. But if you step behind this facade and enter a music hall awaits. It has the feeling of grandeur even though there is little there. In its heyday it would have been a very bright room with chandeliers, but today it is dark yet brimming with atmosphere. Wilton's was originally built in 1853 and extended to its current size in the 1870s. | |
